Terms of service

These terms govern your use of this website and any purchase you make from it. Please read them before ordering.

1. Who we are
This store is operated by Domus Herae di Skyler Mapes, an Italian sole proprietorship (impresa individuale), Calabria, Italy · P.IVA 04062960796. You can reach us at domusherae@gmail.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Domus Herae di Skyler Mapes.

2. Who these terms apply to
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you are buying as a consumer, the mandatory protections of the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo, d.lgs. 206/2005) and of the law of your country of residence apply to you in full, and nothing in these terms limits them.

3. Products
We sell extra virgin olive oil produced in Calabria, Italy. We describe our products as accurately as we can. Because olive oil is an agricultural product, colour, aroma and flavour vary between harvests and over time; this variation is normal and is not a defect. Images are illustrative.

4. Prices and VAT
Prices are shown in euro and include Italian VAT unless stated otherwise at checkout. Shipping costs are shown separately before you confirm your order. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

5. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email. We may decline an order — for example where a product is unavailable, where a price or description was clearly wrong, or where we cannot ship to your address — and if we do, we will not charge you, or we will refund you in full.

6. Payment
Payment is taken at the time of order through our payment provider. We do not store your card details.

7. Delivery
We ship to the countries listed at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a carrier you appointed yourself.

8. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal, subject to the exception for sealed food products which have been opened after delivery (art. 59(e), Codice del Consumo). The full terms, including who pays return costs, are set out in our Refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Faulty or damaged goods
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the legal guarantee of conformity (artt. 128 and following, Codice del Consumo). If something arrives broken, leaking or not as described, email domusherae@gmail.com with a photo and we will replace or refund it at no cost to you.

10. Your account and conduct
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You agree not to use this site unlawfully, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it.

11. Intellectual property
The content of this site — text, photographs, logos and design — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced commercially without our written permission.

12. Liability
We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, including our liability as a food business operator.

13. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy policy.

14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Please contact us first at domusherae@gmail.com — most problems are quicker to solve directly.
